Take a notepad & pen for this activity. Recommend to write and do this activity, and it helps a lot for your future.
Step 1:
Take a paper and write down all the topics you are interested in, even the slightest way.
No need to dive deep into the niche, go with the top-level topics idea itself.
We can deep dive and identify the micro or macro niche after finding the primary niche.
Now you have listed all the topics in the paper.
Step 2:
I will ask a series of questions next.
If the answer is ‘Yes’ for the respective niche, then put a TICK mark against the niche in the paper.
Question 1: Can you talk about the niche for hours?
Question 2: Have anyone has ever asked any doubt or clarification related to the niche?
Question 3: Is there any product that exists related to this niche in the market?
Question 4: Do you know the pain points in the niche, can you solve the same?
Note: While doing this question, if you know the pain points, take another paper, and write down the pain points against the niche, this will be very helpful in the future when you are building your product or service.
Question 5: Will people pay for solving the problems under the niche?
Question 6: Do you know the audience in this niche?
Question 7: Does your social network already has an audience under this niche?
Once you have completed answering all the questions, the niche with more ticks in the paper will ideally be the best niche to select for your personal brand.
Keep both the niche list and pain point paper with you, and it will be easy for you to create your product or service, and also, in case you ever want to pivot or change your niche, this checklist will come in handy.
